FAQ

Straight answers, including the uncomfortable ones

No overselling. If something here is a limitation of the system, we say so plainly.

Is the test free?
Yes. The Socionics test on Socionica is completely free, and you can see your result without paying or subscribing. It takes about five minutes.
Do I need an account?
No. You can take the test and read your result without signing up. An account is only useful if you want to save results and add the people in your life.
How is Socionics different from MBTI?
Both come from Carl Jung, but Socionics places the mental functions in a ranked model and adds detailed descriptions of how each pair of types relates. That relationship layer is what makes it useful for compatibility.
What if my result feels wrong?
That is common and worth taking seriously. Read two or three candidate type pages closely, including the unflattering parts, and give it a week. Most people refine their answer once the description starts explaining new things about them.
Can Socionics predict if a relationship will work?
No. Socionics describes the dynamics between two types — where support tends to come from and where friction tends to appear. It does not predict outcomes, and any site that claims it can is overselling.
Is Socionics scientific?
No. Socionics is a typology, not a validated science. It has not been established by peer-reviewed evidence as a predictive model. We treat it as a structured lens for reflection, and we never present it as proof.
